About the Guide

The Player's Guide is a selective game recommendation site. It does not try to review everything. It keeps a small shelf of games worth recommending and leaves the rest unlisted.

The tone is personal canon rather than consensus. A game can be small, old, strange, difficult, or unfashionable and still belong here if it earns a recommendation.

If a game does not deserve at least one star, it does not appear on the site.
